Crisis Intervention Team Training

April 21st through April 25th.

Monday-Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am – 12:30 pm

CIT is a community partnership to improve mental health crisis response systems. This is a 36 hour in-person training with 4 hours of shadowing at a crisis stabilization center scheduled at a later date.

Topics covered in this course include:

  • Overview of Mental Illnesses
  • Involuntary Detention and Red Flag Laws
  • De-Escalation Techniques
  • Suicide Prevention
  • Substance Use Disorders
  • Local Resource Panel
  • Stories of Lived Experience
  • And much more…

This training is a multi-day event from April 21st – April 25th. Monday-Thursday from 8:00-5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am – 12:30 pm.
