After losing her only child at birth, she came to believe strongly that having access to healthcare locally could be life-changing for Hancock County. She made it her personal mission to bring a hospital to Greenfield, Indiana. That conviction included donating 12 acres of land to Hancock County as the site where our hospital stands today.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 1951, Mrs. Andis saw her dream become a reality when Hancock Memorial Hospital opened its doors, providing maternity care close to home and setting the foundation for what Hancock Health would become. Over the years, Hancock Health has continued to expand its healthcare services, attracting exceptional providers to best serve our community with a high standard of care.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-heading core-heading\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hancock Health Milestones Across 75 Years<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-list core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1951: Hancock Memorial Hospital opens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1962: Radiology training program established<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1964: Hospital\u2019s first expansion, added 36 beds, new x-ray, lab, and pharmacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1970: Expansion that added 32 more beds + intensive care unit, surgery suite, recovery rooms, labor and delivery rooms, and more<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1979: Expanded ED and outpatient surgery departments + addition of social services department for emotional and physical needs of patients<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1982:<a href=\"https:\/\/hancockhealth.apgar.digital\/zh\/about\/foundation\/\"> \u6f22\u8003\u514b\u5065\u5eb7\u57fa\u91d1\u6703<\/a> established\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1987 \u2013 New Same Day Surgery unit + renovation and expansion within diagnostic imaging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1994: Hancock joins the Suburban Health Organization (SHO) with other area hospitals to form a hospital and healthcare provider network serving Indiana\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2000:<a href=\"https:\/\/hancockhealth.apgar.digital\/zh\/wellness-education\/\"> \u6f22\u8003\u514b\u5065\u5eb7\u4e2d\u5fc3<\/a> opens in Greenfield<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2005: Hancock Memorial Hospital renamed<a href=\"https:\/\/hancockhealth.apgar.digital\/zh\/location\/hancock-regional-hospital\/\"> \u6f22\u8003\u514b\u5730\u5340\u91ab\u9662<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2012: Hancock Health partners with<a href=\"https:\/\/hancockhealth.apgar.digital\/zh\/healthcare-service\/cardiovascular-services\/\"> St. Vincent Heart Center<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2015:<a href=\"https:\/\/hancockhealth.apgar.digital\/zh\/location\/sue-ann-wortman-cancer-center\/\"> \u8607\u5b89\u6c83\u7279\u66fc\u764c\u75c7\u4e2d\u5fc3<\/a> opens\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2016: Hancock Wellness Center in McCordsville opens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2019:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gatewayhancockhealth.org\"> GatewayHancock Health<\/a> opens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2020: Hancock Wellness Center in New Palestine opens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2021: Hancock Health announces partnership with<a href=\"https:\/\/hancockhealth.apgar.digital\/zh\/healthcare-service\/neonatal\/\"> Peyton Manning Children\u2019s Hospital at St. Vincent<\/a> to offer a Level II Special Care Nursery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2022: Hancock Health joins the<a href=\"https:\/\/hancockhealth.apgar.digital\/zh\/about\/mayoclinic\/\"> \u6885\u5967\u8a3a\u6240\u8b77\u7406\u7db2\u7d61<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2025: Hancock Health announces partnership with<a href=\"https:\/\/hancockhealth.apgar.digital\/zh\/location\/orthoindy-at-hancock-health\/\"> OrthoIndy<\/a> to become the exclusive provider of orthopedic services\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress- core-\">\n\n<\/div><div class=\"container mx-auto   wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we look forward to what\u2019s ahead, we know our dedicated team will continue to innovate as we keep patient care top of mind.
